How this calculator works The four-wall area is calculated as 2 × (length + width) × height. Door and window area is subtracted, then the remaining area is multiplied by the number of coats and divided by the manufacturer's coverage rate.
Before you buy Coverage varies by product, surface texture, color change and application method. Always check the paint can or technical data sheet. Ceilings, trim and unusual surfaces should be calculated separately.
